Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced HR director in San Diego, CA with outstanding people skills to manage all aspects of human capital and ensure that our human resources programs and initiatives are effective, efficient, and aligned to overall business objectives in the assigned market.

 

Duties for the HR director will include:

  • Address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances in a fair and compassionate manner.
  • Support employee development
  • Counsel managers/supervisors regarding staff performance, personnel practices, policies, and employment laws
  • Execute onboarding and offboarding procedures
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Partner with leaders to improve relationships, build morale and increase productivity/retention
  • Provide recommendations regarding new hires, promotions, and transfers
  • Perform other tasks/projects as assigned by the leadership team

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR or related field
  • Strong knowledge of California labor law required
  • Previous experience with Paycom
  • Progressive HR generalist experience, including employee relations, performance management, recruiting, and training.
  • In-depth knowledge of Human Resource operations and legal regulations
  • Hands-on experience in all aspects of HR management
  • Impeccable communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to travel up to 30% across the assigned market
  • Strong analytical and project management skills

 

Pay and Benefits:

$100,000   to $110,000, depending on education and experience.
