Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

  • Meet with Operations Manager daily to receive the schedule, work orders and report on progress of current assigned work.
  • Work under the direction of the Grounds Supervisor.
  • Daily community-wide trash pickup.
  • Repair and build various types of fences and gates.
  • Perform drainage repairs.
  • Paint curbs, speed bumps and parking spaces.
  • Power wash common elements (sidewalks, retaining walls, brick, etc.).
  • Trim and remove bushes and trees.
  • Install, water and care for plants and flowers.
  • Clean gutters, scuppers, downspouts and rooftops.
  • Perform snow removal duties - anticipate inclement weather and arrive on property as directed by Operation’s Manager to clear roads and sidewalks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Full-time position (40 hours per work week)
  • Overtime required as determined by Operations Manager
  • Available for occasional grounds-related emergencies after hours, on weekends, or holidays

Qualifications

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Valid driver’s license and copy of DMV driving record required.
  • Must be comfortable with heights (climb ladders and walk/work on roofs 20 ft high)
  • General knowledge of hand tools and have their own basic tools for the workplace.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve grounds-related issues.
  • On-the-job training provided as necessary.

 

Pay and Benefits:

$15.00   to $20.00, depending on education and experience.
