The purpose of an Irrigation Tech is to inspect, audit, adjust and repair the systems to ensure they perform at maximum efficiency and conserve water within the community.

• Turns irrigation systems on and off as designated.
• Repairs and replaces hoses, pipes, and numerous types of sprinkler heads and fixtures.
• Operates timers, clocks, and controls for sprinklers.
• Replaces or repairs irrigation valves.
• Installs or repairs irrigation lines.
• May assist in various maintenance activities as required.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Performs snow removal, as required.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to install, operate, troubleshoot, and repair manual and/or computerized irrigation systems.
• Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
• Ability to perform irrigation tasks such as operate timers, clocks, and controls for sprinklers.
• Knowledge of manual and/or computerized irrigation systems.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
• Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and may be required
• up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 20 lbs. constantly. Perform activities such as bending,
• kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting and grasping for up to 5 hours without sitting.

Pay and Benefits:

$20.00 to 22.00 hour based on Education and experience
