Responsibilities

Part-Time Recreational Assistant: Weekend Shift


Assists in coordinating and planning activities and use of the recreational facilities by residents and their guests. Reports to the General Manager, with significant contact with residents, guests, contractors, outside groups and associations, and employees. This position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be friendly and positive at all times.
  • Knowledge of the Association Pool rules and Regulations as provided.
  • Assist homeowner in abiding by Association Rules and Regulations. Have a copy of the rules handy for clarification.
  • At the beginning of every shift, rounds of the facilities, pool area and bathrooms must be made.  Report to On-Site Manager if necessary.
  • Clean, sweep and dispose of any extra trash if necessary throughout your shift.
  • All chairs, lounges and umbrellas must be kept in proper position.
  • Inspect chair and lounge cushions on a daily basis, spot clean when necessary.
  • Inspect chairs and lounges for dust and spider webs.
  • Respond to security issues or emergencies as necessary.
  • Follow necessary procedures for pool closure due to contamination reasons and report to On-Site Manager immediately.
  • Oversee Clubhouse Reservations.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Be available to assist Community Director in the organization, set up, event and breakdown/cleanup for events that may occur during the summer months, i.e., Movie Night, Holiday Events, etc.
  • Be aware of upcoming community events so you may answer any homeowner questions.
  • Provide clearly written daily reports to On-Site Manager of any possible work orders, confrontation, names and address of any homeowners who are asked to leave the premises or asked to dispose of any alcoholic beverages and any other logs presented by the On-Site Manager.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees, guests, homeowners, vendors and resolve conflicts and problems courteously and tactfully.
  • Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to move around the facility and participate in activities.
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Valid California driver’s license. Will be required to attend functions and work a flexible schedule that will include days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Pay: $18.00 / hour
